Argentina is an amazing country, and one that you could easily spend years exploring. Buenos Aires alone is a little overwhelming when trying to decide on a plan of action. As wonderful as BA is, don’t forget about the rest of Argentina.
Pampas is the eastern region of Argentina, which covers vast amounts of plains and accounts for the agricultural wealth of the country. It is also the land of the Gauchos and includes the province of Buenos Aires and the southern parts of Córdoba and the Santa Fe.
On the other side of the country separating Argentina from Chile we have the impressive
Andes Mountain Range, and at the base of the Andes lies Mendoza, the capital city of the province of Mendoza, the wine-making central of Argentina.
To the north brings an area of subtropical forests and wetlands, home to a large number of animal and plant species. The area is very hot and sparsely populated.
And in the south we havePatagonia, which is made up of the Andes mountains on the west and south, and plateau and lowlands on the east.
Now that we’ve had a chance to look at a very basic overview of Argentina, we’ll dive right back into exploring major points of interest up-close, as well as touching on other topics of concern for visitors and expats in Argentina.
