The Argentina Gringo is planning on moving off of politics quite soon, I just thought I would post a little snip-it I found on Just the Facts.org, a web-site designed to keep the world informed on U.S. involvement in Latin America and the Caribbean.
In an article for Clarin entitled: “Una elección por el cambio, en Estados Unidos” (An election for change, in the United States) the editor writes:
The triumph of Barack Obama was the consequence of a profound political mobilization. The
Americans voted for a change in national and international policies and the election has an enormous significance for the northern country and for the rest of the world, in that which respects the national administration, international relations and the culture of social relations, because it will contribute to a more inclusive and tolerant society.
If you read Spanish, or are satisfied with google.com/translate, follow the link to read the entire article.
After this the Gringo is going to give politics a rest and going back to writing about more frivolous and less controversial issues, such as restaurants, beaches, and hotels!
