Tourist Information Center in Mendoza

If you are looking for some leaflets or brochures for tours in Mendoza (as if your hotel didn’t provide you with enough!), then visit the Tourist Information kiosk located at Av. San Martin and Garibalda.

The office is open daily from 9 am to 9 pm, and the staff are quite helpful… if you speak a little bit of Spanish that is. Oftentimes the people staffing the Tourist_Office_of_Mendoza_on_Garibaldi_San_MartinTourist Information Center don’t speak English, which is pretty surprising considering what a large number of tourists to the area don’t speak Spanish, and the large number of Argentines in the tourism industry who do!

I think that all the ones who speak English have found higher paying jobs… but maybe that’s just me. It may simply depend on the day in which you come…

There center offers a map of Mendoza which isn’t the greatest quality, as well as brochures for tours on mountain climbing, hiking, wine tours and more. The staff (if you can communicate with them) are good for giving recommendations on places to see, and where to eat.

Tel +54 0261 4201333, located in the middle of the sidewalk at Av. San Martin and Garibalda.
