Using the Subway in Buenos Aires

For the quickest transportation in Buenos Aires you will want to try the subway. It is without a doubt the fastest way to travel from point A to point B within the city center, and even to the outskirts Buenos aires subwayof the city.

The route covers 46 kilometers, and has 80 stations. There are 5 subway lines that run through Buenos Aires, and they are identified by letters: A, B, C, D, and E.

The Buenos Aires subway system was the first of its kind in Latin America. The old, original wooden cars ran for a long time on line A, before eventually being sent to a local museum.

The subway system runs Monday to Friday from 6 am to 10 pm and Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays from 6 am to 8 pm.

The cost for the subway system is $0.70.
